I have worked as a community service counselor since 1983. I offer individuals and families the opportunity to pre-plan and purchase cemetery property, merchandise, and funeral plans for traditional and cremation options. I also offer a world-wide travel insurance program that takes care of handling all necessary details to bring a person home if they die while they are traveling.

I have worked for Hawaiian Memorial Park and Borthwick Mortuary since August of 2000. I assist families face and handle challenging decisions with sensitivity, compassion, and grace. I help families save a great deal of money, time, and emotional strain for their loved ones. I give families the luxury of grieving and the opportunity to celebrate the life of a loved one.

I belong to American Business Women’s Assoc., (ABWA,), American Association of University Women, American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) and the Filipino American Multi-Ethnic Society (FAMES.) I am a member of Rotary International.  I am Secretary for the Makakilo Cliffs Board of Directors.  I am on the Event Committee for the Arthritis Foundation Walk-a-Thon and Parade of Passion.  I am a life time member of Hadassah and Temple Sof Ma'arov. I am also a member of the Honolulu Academy of Arts and The Hawaii Women’s Business Center.

I am a past recipient of the Small Business Association’s Woman of the Year for assisting women in growing and developing their businesses.

I have received numerous awards and honors in my profession for a high level of service to the families I assist with advance planning.

I am available to speak to groups and individuals to offer information and education.

I am a long-time resident of Hawaii. I lived on Maui from 1980 to 2002; I moved to Oahu the end of 2002.

I was a social worker from 1977 – 1980, working for an organization called the Senior Care Action Network. Our responsibility was to help prevent premature or unnecessary institutionalization of elders by providing them with needed services and counseling.

I graduated from California State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 1977.  I specialized in gerontology and grief counseling, mentoring with Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, a pioneer in the field of death, dying, and dealing with loss and grief.
